27th June: celebration of my 17th birthday!Yes, today is the day they celebrated my belated birthday.
Backpack.exhilaration.friendship.
Firstly, i will like to define what i was thinking when i gave these 3 words.
BACKPACK: backpack.
EXHILARATION: i wanna have loads of fun and joy and even feel HIGH on my birthday.
FRIENDSHIP: i wanna spend my birthday with you wonderful people., simple as that.
Pasir Ris MRT 12 noonni ming and kenrick met me there, tell them only lemuel and them present. thee girls, for some reason just cannot come. i only believe jazz cannot turn up, because she went for tie da (take care of urself k? thanks for this joyful day!) nvm. they blindfolded me, hold my hand and make me walk all the way to Pasir Ris Park.
they kept crapping about where i am going but i can smell the sea water anyway. haha blindfolded on the streets i repeat.. good thing i didn't wear slippers with socks (like what they told me to do so. retarded. haha)
Pasir Ris Park (afternoon)they made me hold my supposedly backpack, which i realised as a brown female's handbag when they opened up my blindfold. STUN. dun noe what to say. totally unbelievable. i saw vivian and si min there too. haha.
ya, they played tricks with me for a while then reveal my actual present-- Billabong backpack (red,black and white, my fave colour scheme for a bag!). that handbag turns out to be Amanda's (phew~). I AM SO HAPPY when i see the backpack. it's beyond what i expected. didn't expect them to noe me so well as to buy one that is exactly one of my fave colour scheme. this is just the beginning, as they have always been telling me.
they prepared a PICNIC! Sandwiches, chcoclate chip cookies, sausages, beehoon, chocolate mint biscuit, more chocolates, coke, green tea, AWESOME! haha. special thanks go to simin who slept late just to bake my cookies. soon, the ants swarmed in towards us. Lemuel came to our rescue with his natural insect repellent--eucalyptus oil! we drew a barrier of eucalyptus oil around us. it's super effective against the ants. now, we can eat with ease (:
After the picnic, we played "monkey" with lemuel's soccer ball, played frisbee. then, we chiong to the playground and enjoy playing with the new stuff built. the percussion, electronic lights game, THE WAY (the spinning thingy). ended up sweating (and spinning) like crazy. i thought this is coming to an end, when they told me, "this is just the beginning" and "we got a schedule to follow". so cool right. plan until so...i dun noe how to describe. haha.
Lemuel's house (about 4pm)haha. went to lemuel's home to shower and keep the picnic stuff. they met in the morning to prepare for all these and this is just the beginning! awesome right?
nothing much happened her. long time since i sayang Jingle. watched "Dogfights" on "History Channel", showing how fighter jets of the past engaged in air battles. kenrick was complaining about how boring it was and switched to other channels. well, he gave up and got back to "Dogfights" after finding no better shows. haha. lemuel and ni ming thought the graphics was cool. we left his house at around five pm.
Clarke QuayVui Yong joined us and gave me a shirt with a card(with some funny msg, anyway, thanks!)
we took the train to clarke quay station
ni ming told me on the way that there's something more exhilarating in store for me. wow. just get ready to be surprised then, i told myself.
guess where they brought me to? they blindfolded ee again (mah luu sia~), walked out of Central and towards...
THE SWING! yes, i was SHOCKED. never expect them to send me to take the swing. this is BEYOND WORDS, they really wanna make me go HIGH, literally.
Lemuel took it with me. wah, the swing is best ride i ever taken (especially when you have great friends, who will go to such great lengths to make you happy.)
the adrenaline still lingers for so long after the ride. haha. felt quite shag after the effect wore off.
Dinnerwe went to yoshinoya to have dinner, then explored the shopping centre. Ni Ming led us to discover something cool...the bridge design. i discover a japanese restaurant with red, black, white colour scheme! the front part is totally red, with black and white interior. so cool.
Thanks guys for making my day special. This day must have cost a lot of time, effort and money. I am really touched for all that yall have done for me...will never forget this day.Thank God for safety, great weather and great friends!Click on the link below to check out more photos:
